Deceased Name: Lois Helene Wagstrom Kohn Lois Helene Wagstrom Kohn, 83, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006. She was born April 22, 1923 in Crookston, Minn., daughter of the late, Harry and Louise Wagstrom. She had lived in Minneapolis, Duluth, and Tucson Ariz., before moving to Florida in 2002. A former model, Lois also attended The MacPhail Center for the Arts, worked as a long distance telephone supervisor in Minneapolis, and, in Duluth, she worked as an insurance sales agent, art gallery director of Gallery 5, an employment counselor, and a charm school co-owner. Lois was the former president of Matinee Musicale in Duluth, a singer with the Duluth Light Opera Company, the Duluth-Superior Symphony Chorus and the Duluth-Superior Symphony Opera Chorus, singing with touring opera stars as they came to Duluth. In Tucson, she volunteered as a music docent in the public elementary school system, and privately taught ESL. Her family includes her husband of 59 years, Wilbur Kohn; son, Paul Kohn and his wife, Fumie Kohn; brother, Clem Wagstrom; sisters, Marilyn Mound and Claris Helm; and 11 nieces and nephews.
